how can i receive a federal grant distbursed to me for my school suppies , which my school dont allow?

    In my experience, you can use Federal grants how ever you want. The most common (I think) for undergrads is the Pell grant….The best way to get grants is to submit a Federal Application For Student Aid (FAFSA) and also to talk to a financial aid counselor at your school.
